What to expect during your stay at Mall House Apartment

Mall House has been in the same family since it was built in 1816. The self-catering property boasts three bedrooms and a stunning, private walled garden.

Please be aware that there are 5 steps leading down to the apartment. Situated on the lower ground floor of Mall House, the apartment comfortably sleeps 6, with a king size sleigh bed with en-suite, a twin room, and a third room with adult-sized bunk beds. It is the perfect for couples and families alike. The apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances including a dishwasher and washer-dryer. There is a walk-in shower room with underfloor heating and separate WC. The dining table seats six, and the living room includes a large screen LDC TV and DVD player, plus free wifi.

There is a 4-night minimum stay, with check-in after 5pm and check-out is 9am. The property has gas central heating which is provided by card meter, which can be charged locally – there is always credit on the meter when guests arrive. Changeover days are flexible and the apartment is professionally cleaned between guests. Linen and towels are provided. The apartment has hard wired smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, emergency lighting and a heat detector.

There is off-street parking available in the drive of the house. If you would like to arrange a food delivery before your arrival, please get in touch after booking so we can ensure someone is here when it arrives.

Please note the apartment is no-smoking and no dogs are allowed.

We used the Mall House as our base for a 1 week trip to Scotland. Rented a car and drove all over the country, then returned "home" each night with the exception of 1 when we stayed "off campus" as part of a tour. Sally was delightful and very helpful both in planning and after our arrival. The house had everything we needed with very few exceptions.

Lived in Montrose for a year and always passed the Mall House, admiring the wonderful setting. The apartment was generous though a bit dark. However the outsides and the warm hosting makes up for it fully. All amneties including the beach are in walking distance.

This is a great property for a group. The high street is well equipped with everything you need including a large Tesco, chemist, several pubs and cafes (which serve great breakfast if you'd rather a lazy morning like us!) The beach is stunning and a short walk from the house. Fettercairn whisky distillery is a 30 minute, scenic drive. The host takes great care in looking after this historic property and will be able to point out some unique details inside the flat and architecturally if you're admiring from the beautiful gardens. Parking on site via a private drive that is set well away from the road.
